Sometimes the unexpected happens! Messing around with inks, acrylics and some stamps and stencils and accidentally created a giraffe --- I like the cat paw print on it's chest, too....I think I'll keep it --- and not continue layering.

Derwent Inktense Blocks and Pencils on cotton.
Very wet wash, warm iron. Seemed to set the color, but went ahead and added some diluted fabric medium. Think these will be potholders...quilted....

Inspired by Balzer Designs post from today, I dug out my Gelli Arts gel printing plate to play. This is a watercolor sketch that I've been trying to figure out where to go with - should it be a fabric print, a quilt block, a border..how about a gel print? It was fun and resulted in a few other fun pages. I like the idea the Gelli folks mention in the video - that this would be good to use for a series...hmmm...now that gets me thinking.....
